Just a Little Happiness…

Starting off I want to say, I am not a hippie, nor a tree hugger but what I am is a 44 year old guy that would like to see some positivity in this world and some happiness spread around.  All you have to do is turn the TV on and it’s just one depressing, sad story after another.  Some things you see make you angry while others choke you up and make you cry.  So in response to that Steph and I wanted to do this blog to create a little brightness in other’s days and ours as well.

We get to share with you things that make us happy and in return it is our hope that you feel it too.  We strive to be positive and share our posts in a positive light.  We both know there are going to be sad times in our lives, but we also want to do our best to keep our chins up and make the best of any situation. Things happen for a reason and life goes on.

Coca Cola had a slogan a few years back, “Open Happiness!” that I just loved!  You would hear that little jingle and it made you feel so good and glad to be alive and for some strange reason, I would often find myself driving to the store to buy and open a little happiness!! Oh and do you remember Bobby McFerrin?  Sure you do, let me give a little hint:  “Ooh-ooh-hoo-hoo-ooh hoo-hoo-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh, Don’t worry, Woo-ooh-woo-ooh-woo-ooh-ooh, Be happy!  Ring any bells for you?  Yep, he’s the guy that sang “Don’t Worry, Be Happy!”  If you have never heard that song, well what a shame! Now go Google it!

What I’m trying to convey in my rambling is “Be Happy”!  Enjoy your life and live it!  Like I said at the beginning of this post, I’m 44 and time isn’t slowing down for me and I’m going to make the best of the rest of my life!  I’m going fishing a little more, travel to places I’ve never been, take an early morning hike with my camera to take pictures of the sunrise, try new and different things and spend more time with Steph and our children.

Whether you live in North Alabama, Southern California, New York City or Timbuktu, get out and live!  Don’t let life pass you by worrying about what others are doing or saying!  Again, all things happen for a reason and sometimes those reasons lead to better things in your life if you allow it.

This post isn’t just for you, it’s for me too.  A reminder that happiness is important and we all need it daily!!

Comment and tell me what makes you happy and keeps you smiling!  I look forward to hearing from you!
